I'm getting a lot of inquiries about F003 with WiFi. Many ask if it is as good as the CECT i9 or KA08. They want to know if it is worth the extra price and if it is a viable alternative to the iPhone. I will try to answer all of these concerns in the following article.

What Makes The F003 Different Than Models Like The KA08 and i9?: The answer to this one is pretty simple. It's the WiFi. This phone makes it possible to forgo paying for data usage. Of course, this is only possible if you access to the internet via WiFi hotspots. I've not heard of anyone having problem getting this phone to work with their home or office Internet. But, your particular experiences with your local hotspots are of course going to vary depending upon your access to these services. So long as you have access to working and free hot spots (and there are more places and businesses offering this all of the time,) you can theoretically get free internet usage.

The F003 shares many features with the i9, in that it's dual sim, supports Java and Bluetooth, has MP3 / MP4 usage, and offers FM radio, digital camera, and all of the other things that we've come to expect. However, the F model is a bit heavier and larger. This is the main difference between this and the KA08 which is smaller. (Also, the KA08 does not support the Java applications, while the i9 and F003 do.) And, the F does have the addition of the television feature as well as a nominally better camera and web cam. So, I guess the big selling points to it are the WiFi, the TV, and the camera upgrades.

Does this make paying a little bit more for this phone worth it? I think that this depends very much on how much you use data, how much you pay for it, and how much access you have to free hot spots. If you are a very heavy web or Internet user and you are sure that you have access to the hot spots, then this phone would likely save the money that you would spend on data usage. But, if you only use the web sporadically or have access to lost cost data either via AT&T's GoPhone, having this already included with your plan, or having access to one of the low cost "all in one" pre paid sim cards, (and you really like the light weight size of the i9 or the lower cost,) then you may not need to make this leap.

Performance On The F003: In truth, this phone does function a lot like the i9, except for the size. It too has the very responsive touch screen. It too allows you the flexibility of having two sim slots. And, it allows for very easy messaging, camera usage, emailing, web browsing, radio usage, and PDF usage, etc. The addition of Java means that you can use all of those free and open development apps that are Java based. (The KA08 and some other models do not have this.) The resolution on the screen, the photos, the video, and the graphics are nice. The speakers are good, as is the sound quality. And, WiFi is generally going to give you faster results than network data.

I know that people prefer the smallest phone available, but honestly, I think that the size is pretty appropriate here. If you're interested in a WiFi phone, it's likely because you do a lot of browsing which means that you need to input a lot of information and directives. This is going to be easier for you if the screen is large enough to support comfortable texting.

Overall, this phone is a lot like the i68 and the i9, but it does have WiFi and television. If these two features aren't that important to you, then you would pay less for the i9. But, if you do want these things, this model will get this for you and will work much like the iPhone clones that have now become commonplace in our market today. And since this one is priced around $150 or less, the cost is still pretty low, especially considering the money that you will likely save over the life of the phone. Potentially, there is not the need for contracts or data usage.
